We have our foot in agriculture with cultivation of Sugarcane, Banana, Pomegranate plants as well. Organic farmers offer an alternative to all that. They work together with nature. Organic agriculture does not poison the land or environment. This is the second reason to eat organically grown food. If we agree that food production is the one indispensable industry without which humans cannot survive, then we must recognize that soil which is home to all our crops is the most vital of habitats.

     Natural soil is teeming with life: bacteria and other micro-organisms, ants, bugs, beetles, worms, caterpillars, snails and so on live in and on natural soil. The lives and deaths of millions of these tiny creatures are an integral part of soil fertility. Their lives give air, water and nutrients to the plants. Some of them are essential to the survival of a particular plant and after death, their tiny corpses are reduced to nutrients which further enrich the earth, feeding future generations of plants and keeping the soil alive.
